What are the age limits?
Anyone can participate adult triathlon if they are able to complete the task. Those who maybe unable to complete the entire triathlon are encouraged to find others and compete as a relay team. We do have a children's triathlon for those 10 years of age and younger. There are no exceptions for children older. We are very sorry but our course does not permit us to expand to enable older children to participate.
Do I have to wear a swim cap?
YES! We have all swimmers wear swim caps for safety. This enables our lifeguards to see you better in the water and provide you with assistance if needed. Please wear brightly colored caps (avoid any dark colors which tend to blend in with the water). We will have swim caps available for purchase at packet pick-up.
Do I need to wear a bike helmet? YES. Again this is a safety issue. We want you to have a safe and injury free triathlon.
What are the different categories for competing? Individual-one person completes all three events. Relay-two or three persons teams. One person does one event or in the case of a two-person team, one person does one event the other two events.
Are wetsuits allowed? Yes, wetsuits are allowed. The water temperature averages 70 degrees.
